I was gonna buy one out of Japan but then I read that if it ever needs service, they can't do it in the US (where I am) because it isnt a North America model and has to be sent to Asia.
There is nothing there, Futaba lately has been a total let down when it comes to tech help. I called about a few things regarding the 6PV and i literally got the answer "i don't know i have never taken one out of the box". Its like dude..... seriously. Also you are correct if the JPN 6PV fails they will not fix it. I bought mine new 6-7 mnoths ago on ebay for 350 bucks shipped with TWO RX's. At that price point i said screw it and got it. I know they are still cheaper to buy on ebay from japan but no where near that first price point.
