VERY interested in this project. That is exactly the next r/c vehicle I am thinking of "thumping"! Mostly because if its LOW center driveshafts... could probably lay the engine over far enough to have room for a carb under the body.
Also, if you're looking for more power than the 40C has, you can take the cam, valve springs, and spring seats and drop 'em in an FS-52. I have 2 gallons through mine and its holding up nicely.
