Questions?? What electronics would you use for 1/10 2WD buggy racing?

I recently purchased the Team Associated B7 which is my first kit and am in need of a servo, esc and motor for it. The motor being anything goes but 6.5T is the fastest you're allowed.
Currently I have been using an old Xray which got me started as to see how I got on with the hobby. I must say I'm enjoying it a LOT and everyone I've come across here and at my local(s) are very friendly and helpful.
The Xray is not mine though, I'm just borrowing it.

I currently race outdoors on Astroturf but looking to do carpet as well. Luckily it hasn't rained yet but unsure what I need to protect or even how to do it for the wetter conditions.
Anyway, back to topic. I was thinking of Hobbywing however there seems to be various Hobbywing ESC's so a little unsure on what to go for or differences. None of them seem to mention if they're waterproof or not though?

For servo I was thinking of Reedy RS1606A (The high speed version) which someone already recommended me. That same servo has a high torque and high speed version but wasn't fully aware which is the better choice.
I've seen some videos about Protek however I can't seem to find them on the online shops or at the local store. I'm in the uk.
Would be nice to hear what you guys recommend or are using.

Lastly, I wasn't sure whether to post this question here or in the off road section. I hope the question is okay here.

Thanks again.
