Why carry extra weight around in power you won't use when you can put the weight you save by running a small battery low in the car in the form of tungsten, brass, or steel?
That's a conscious choice. If you don't have enough power, run the bigger battery. If you're actually lacking power, that'll hurt more than weight location.
