The price difference is largely because of collector value and and demand associated with this relic.

This is risky - since it is a vintage car, unless you are able to produce your own spares, any damage experienced would be almost impossible to replace with spares.
There is no performance advantage, actually probably more disadvantages in performance to modern and readily available chassis.
