With a few days off, I'm finally getting around to setting up this used Xray X12 '2022 I bought a while ago. I've run into a very weird issue, maybe you gents have an idea about?
I can't seem to get the ride height to even close the recommended factory starting point. This thing came to me as a high rider. Kit setup is like 3.2mm and 3.5mm.
Here's what's going on with pics:
- Tires at 40.5 F and 40 R
- Suspension arm plate reset to factory (2.5 F shim and .5 R)
- Rear is within spec (~3.5mm RH)
- Running the 'long' setting front/rear.
To even get close to the recommended ride height of 3.2mm F / 3.5mm rear, should I raise the suspension arm plate even more?? This seems pretty extreme, as I'm like 2mm away in height. Adding shims to the suspension leaves almost no suspension travel. I'm measuring at the front of the chassis (not the bumper plate) and the rear pod.
Photos below showing how much suspension would be available at 3.5mm front ride height mocked up. Also photo of front shim setup.
Any ideas? What am I missing? This is baffling
