Thanks Drew! That picture doesn't do the paint job justice. Here are some more pics. At 29.3 grams, the Yaris is 5.2 grams heavier than the MX-5 and the weight is higher up in the body, so it has more roll. My MX-5 is on a box stock RM chassis, whereas the Yaris is on a MM setup with disk damper, dual spring center shock and inner tube front dampers. Both chassis are running 20mm N0 wheels all around with KSK 40 on the front and KS Soft on the rear, and both cars are quick, nimble and very planted. Even though the Yaris had a quicker time in September, I had more tries with it. I think if I'd had more tries with the MX-5, it would have gone just as quick as the Yaris or maybe even a little quicker. The MX-5 is more forgiving on the rails, where the Yaris is more likely to get stuck requiring the use of reverse, and you know how costly that can be. They are both fun to drive and challenging in their own ways, but both look super cool ripping around the Mini-96. I’ll try to drive both more in October to get a better comparison of times. Drive fast...
