Need help figuring out RC setup from early 2000's
I am very new to the world of RC technology and have come across a project that needs more expertise than I have. My school received a small bus car used in parades for our city's public transportation company. It had stopped working and we were asked if our school could fix it but we have run into an issue. We believe the car's controller is having trouble connecting to the transmitter. The setup for the car is pretty old and we are having trouble with how to use the transmitter. In normal RC cars, there are motors plugged into the channels on the transmitter but there are no wires from the motors going into the transmitter. There is only the wire for the transmitter to be powered. The car has a total of about 6 motors. My teacher and I are wondering how the transmitter is receiving a connection to the motors and why isn't the controller connecting to it when the power is turned on. The transmitters name is the Fortress 2000.
