A 4.2 is a good and stable lap for me. I've tried my Stock at 102mm with both the C9 and 787B, and now it's at 98mm topped with a 12C. I like the steering of the C9, but I tend to traction roll more with it than the 787B. I'm more consistent with the 787B, but I've had it longer. But with the 102mm cars if I overshoot the corners I wind up in the wall. The 12C at 98mm is more forgiving with my lack of skill, so I turn better lap times overall with it.

Right now I have the 12C setup with Kyo 1.5mmN w/ PN KSK40* LP up front with PN BBS +2mmW w/ KS-M soft radials, and it's turning well and stays shiny side up unless I get heavy on the throttle in the 90*s! I think my track is getting too dusty, so I'm going to clean it midmonth since the a/c got replaced and stirred up a bunch of crap! I usually clean it with a damp micro-fiber towel when we change the track layout, so I hope cleaning it doesn't screw up my times too bad.
