Yeah the MC5 in other testing I have seen has a large amount of torque available and as someone else posted earlier it can take some taller gearing. After this week's racing I will unsolder one of my New Wave 17.5s and throw it on the analyzer just to get a comparison at least on that limited set of metrics. I will also probably swap in the MC5 into the clay TLR for giggles.

"Speed" wasn't/isn't an issue for me with my times on the clay track as my "issues" have been all the guy behind the controller for the most part now that my car setup is solid. So now that I can hang with the big boys with a little more consistency (low 90%s in consistency) I am open to trying for some additional speed. That being said I am impressed with the New Wave Ultras as well once I pushed their timing a bit. They have eaten gearing pretty well and run cool. So swapping to the MC5 is a case of "if it ain't broke, break it"......I can always swap back.
