If the MC5 17.5 is anything like the 21.5 and 25.5 MC5's they like low timing and a lot of gear. They are torque monsters that the analyzer isn't showing you.
If and when I drop it in a car I will probably return it to what the factory had which was closer to 43 degrees on my analyzer.
Right now with the New Wave 17.5s they seem to eat up gearing as I am running 29/72 on my TLR with a fan and the motor comes out really cool.......
