A little update on the Outlaw .24 :

So I have been testing it with a small V manifold , it looks like the Ielasi v3 manifold but it’s about 4mm shorter by my measurements and that’s matted to a 9886. I know the manifold is a bit long to take advantage of the rpm it’s designed for but I gave it a try . The engine comes with a .80 shim stack … might have been .90 but I took them out and measured them and not sure if it was .80 or .90 … I had a bunch of shims on my desk later about , my mistake.
So I’m assuming this came shimmed for 16% . I just got some new fuel to try and it’s labeled as “30% off road “ lol ( stuff Is super spicy btw )
after 1700ml on the bench on pure Meth and oil she went into the break in rig . ASM “OS” Wpc coated rod ,Xb8 16/46 gearing , 9mm Venturi , Mito 35 Gt head . Well I had to add .25 worth of shims and a Protek T5 plug to get it to work properly on this fuel . The engine is absolutely insane in this platform with this set up . Nothing I have tested comes close to it . The bottom end kills even the lrp32 and Novarossi 28-8 .. even in modified form . Top end is again on another level even w the longer than designed for manifold. I was blown away after 1000ml of driving and dialing it in . It was like going from 4s to 6s when comparing everything else I have (120 engines ) . Then it hit me , this fuel requires the same shim stack of a 45% nitro setup . I have drag raced a lot over the years with high nitro . I then wipped up some 40/8 and it still wasn’t quite the same as the other fuel lol. Later in the week I’m going to tighten the squish up and put a warmer plug so I can determine how this runs on 25 and 30% fuel so I have an apples to apples comparison vs the other offerings on the market . Man what a buzz kill! I couldn’t compute what I was experiencing it was that violent . Even in a break in setting making a smoke screen the engine would basically free rev on a golf course on badlands .. yeah that’s what 45% nitro will do lol
I’ll post my findings w “normal “ fuel as soon as I get it all dialed in . Damn fellas I thought they created something game changing lol . Damn liquid horsepower got me
