Been interesting trying to figure out a way to do a front end hex conversion without using Associated parts mainly because the B4.2 hex axles are unicorns anymore.
Trying this out for now. Seems to be working. Not perfect but you get front hexes. You will have to bore out the pivot holes because the B4 kingpins are a tad bigger.
B5 style hex axles + Traxxas 2WD steering blocks
Traxxas 3636A + ASC71127 hex axle
I’ve been looking at other options. I’d like to try the Yokomo SO2.0 steering blocks because it’s a similar design to the modern Associated 2WDs.
