I wasn't aware they set the max charge and discharge rates, is this a safety regulation, or just them trying to make things more even?

I won't be regularly discharging at this high of a current, but just wanted to test out the max of my charger successfully. Seems I keep screwing something up.
I'll give turning off the capacity setting, as it's the voltage I'm most concerned about.

Loving the charger so far though, except that the scroll wheel isn't "grippy" enough for me. Any tips for that? Was thinking maybe adding hockey tape or a grip tape disc to it.
Safety and also avoiding tripping the fuse when everyone is doing high charge rates simultaneously.
