Default Nova R9R Outlaw .24 Onroad engine

Red RC » Nova Engines R9R Outlaw .24 Onroad engine

To throw this onto the market is to me a stupid decision. A true .24 9 port onroad engine that can be bought and used by anyone gives a lot of work for the tech inspection. Nova says that is is no problem because the normal .21 versions are black coated and the outlaw has .24 marked on the crankcase beside of course the marking on the head.
But how many tech inspections are well informed about this? The head can be changed for something else and the .24 can be etched/wiped of the crankcase and so tech inspection needs to open engines to be sure.

Nova says they want to start the discussion of making a step to these engines because they are easier to tune. Is it? Personally I do not think this is the way because it will provoke racers try to use it.
Funny, because Novarossi had the same idea about 6 or 7 years ago and there was not voted for on the EFRA AGM..
