It's from the same manufacturer, and use the same base programming. As for my gearing, I simply geared the car based on what the manual suggested. As I didn't have time to test or practice as I was out of the country prior to the race. Again to my surprise the top end of the new Surpass motor was not anywhere close to this older motor my friend let me borrow. So I figured there must be something I can do to increase the speed of it because a new motor can't be this slow to an older 7.5T.
