Adjustable would be nice, but would introduce more manufacturing tolerance challenges that may affect the distance to the sensor. I don't think a 3D printed part would be suitable.
How would it interfere with the tolerances? It's just helps keep the rotor from moving side to side. Shimming takes too long.
