This could work. Cut a bit off a few dampener tubes, but a long plastic damper shaft from an old kit between them with a tiny spring inside of each damper to keep it centered but not pre-loaded. When I compressed the front suspension you could see it move. I put some 100,000 weight fluid on it. Plus it looks cool.
