If it was easy it wouldn't be a rewarding hobby..
- Do the fast guys run a solid axle on asphalt as well?
- I'm using about a 200Watt motor, is that about ok for a 1/12 modified Ultra Ninja Espresso (surely, that's what it is called) class?
Would the front tires fit on the rear? I doubt anyone is up for it but, how much does the handling change when you mount a set of fronts to the rear while keeping the outer width the same? In a sim, when front and rear tires are different, estimating the grip difference is really tricky. If you can run a solid axle in real life almost as easily with a set of fronts on the rear axle, that would point to the grip levels being similar. If it becomes an undrivable spinning mess, it points to the wider rears having significantly more grip than the fronts..
If anyone is curious and willing to invest some time, I'm happy to share the files for the game. The worst that can happen is we might learn something... Although probably we'll all just end up more confused...
