tool for hand eye coordination and to learn the basics of how to set up a 1:1 car without taking risk. Do you also think playing video games like Gran Turismo and driving sims is motorsport as well?
You asked for sites like it that covered RC racing. Those are sites that are like that website that cover RC racing. You didn't mention they have to be 1:1 focused websites that also feature RC racing. Stop moving the goalposts. BTW at least one of the sites I mentioned does also feature 1:1 racing.
At least one motorsports governing body has declared Sim racing as an official motorsport.
