For springs? No, not really. I have new and old sets of 1/12 springs and they're inconsistent when checking with a spring checker.
If I had to recommend a setup for carpet CK25 I would recommend the kit setup with a few small changes:
First, make sure your rear pod droop is less than 2mm. Reducing droop will help increase rear grip.
Run the battery forward. This will make the car easier to drive.
Make a bump-stop out of fuel tubing or washers for the main shock so the chassis can't bottom out.
Run a spool. This will make the car easier to drive.
Use the 2mm roll center spacers on the front end. CLN3279
Make sure everything moves really free.
There is a discussion of tire prep in this forum, but when cutting your tires a hard 45 degree bevel on the outer edge gives the best steering feel. I would NOT recommend rounding that outer edge, just a 45 degree sanded cut. Then, if you're on high-grip you will need to put some glue on the outer edge of your front tires, see this page:
