By calibrating at 150% you will increase the precision when adjusting the EPA and brake strength, however this won't increase the level of output.
If you find that making 1% adjustment on a 0-100% scale is too big of an adjustment, then that's where the 150% trim settings can come in handy.
This is true if you use EPA to dial out the brakes, but if you use the dual rate instead you won't see that benefit. On most radios I've seen, the dual rate adjustment is quicker to do so it gets used more often.
