Why would it need a new class? Almost every 1/12 rule set around the world allows just about anything as long as it fits under a 1/12 body and if it fits the spec wheels used at particular race meetings. The front wheels are the only sticking point there, but not every race meeting uses spec tyres. What's more likely to limit its sales is the $650 price tag.
Because it's a 4WD pan car. Almost every 1/12 ruleset I've seen is either a RWD pan car only, or an M-Chassis (Kyosho Fantom being a rare exception). They rarely run those chassis types together.
