Multirings do last longer but they also provide more grip. The reason being you can run a shore lower than normal due to the lower wear rate.
in general multirings are far superior to normal tires. problem is not many people can get hold of them. best thing to do is buy foam donuts and make your own. try mixing shores and run a shore higher on the outside.
