It varies. Some top off, some dump and charge. On 2s i didn't notice much of a difference, but with 1s I notice a difference. I normally run multiple classes so dumping to an external resister bank really isn't possible. I need both channels.

I often run more than 1 class so I need to charge a pack while discharging another pack at the same time. Using an external discharge bank with the Duo406, you can only discharge 1 pack using both ports. So, my current setup is two S6's so they both run at the same time and I 'manage' 2 packs simultaneously.
Can the DX8 do that? can you use an external discharge bank on one channel while charging on the other?
