Haven't been to the track since carpet became a permanent fixture on more than just the jumps.
Managed to crash a few times on carpet ripples, got snagged wheels in frayed carpet, got stuck under carpet when the wind lifted it up.
It's quite a 'meh' experience.
There has been a stack of track maintenance and work done recently , whole top surface scraped and redressed.
Yes there still remains carpet in some areas , but the track surface is greatly improved.
Might be worth a revisit on a club day.
Carpets are placed on track for protection on non club race days, so practice is still a bit of challenge.
