Is anyone still driving the LD2?
I will be picking up a new 2wd kit soon, and my shop supports Schu and AE. Trying to decided between them, but figure for my skills (low) it probably won't matter which I pick. Leaning towards the Schu just because I lusted hard for a Top Cat back XX years ago as a teen, but never got one... Bad logic, but... LOL Also my buddy just got a LD2, so If I run one, we can share tuning tips... But AE just dropped the 6.4, so "New hotness" has an appeal too.
Either brand, I will be looking at a stock spec car, 21.5 class, small carpet track. The LHS guy says to get the LD2 because it is a lot lighter, which will help in a 21.5 class - but then I will need to add weights to get it up to minimum weight, so does that really matter?
Thoughts or advice? Any good reason to get one over the other?
