Not really equipt to tell you about nitro....I had an 1/8 scale that I only ran for short period of time and that was when I was running Cyrstals still.
But I would suggest you make sure you cover all exposed area of your antenna like in my picture above...the green fuel line to cover the wire...Then make sure you have a doubel layer of servo tape in between your receiver and car...vibrations are also known to cause glitching...
Other than that I would use ferrit coils around your servo wires just incase it is causing some radio noise.
