I know a good battery has IR's in the mid 1's, but it's just one resistance in a series of resistances, so how much does the extra 3 mOhms hurt when the total resistance is over 30 ohms. So can I assume that increasing by 3 milli ohms only increases total resistance by .003/30.001 = .01%. Am I looking at this properly and if I am, then why worry that much about IR? I doubt if it is that simple.
simple answer would be yes & no. The lower IR pack will give you more punch out of the corners and will everything being equal laptimes should slightly be faster. Car setup also falls into play. Could be easier to keep corner speed up with a less punchy pack that helps you be smoother on the trigger. There is no right or wrong answer IMO. There are some that will state lower IR is the only way to go. I’m curious to read the replies myself🤔
