The horn itself is plastic but has metal inserts (including 23 tooth spline) to match the horn to the servo. Trying to buy them as a Losi packaged part is ridiculous because they always come in a package with a bunch of stuff you don't want, so I get them of eBay. The seller rc-waffle sells these pretty cheap. Here's a listing with the horn, various spline inserts and rod ends for $3.25 plus shipping:

That seller usually has multiples of these listed with slightly varying descriptions and he heavily discounts combined shipping so I would always try to buy a couple at a time. I use them where ever they can be fitted, including on my oval Mudboss cars because they are so strong.
Thank you! I'll go look into that now. I roached my only 25t servo, first day out this past weekend and had to settle on a cheap Savox. I'd much rather run a Spektrum 6240 if I can.
