I emailed Futaba and apparently this is how S-FHSS receivers work? This is what they said…
“Once the receiver (S_FHSS Protocol) has been bound to the transmitter, it does not matter what model selection is made within the transmitter.
The receiver has been “allowed” to respond to the transmitter, so it will listen to anything the transmitter sends out.
T-FHSS receivers do NOT do this.
T-FHSS protocol is model specific”
So I guess I need to buck up for the expensive T-FHSS receivers. UGH!
