I understand the concept. I raced 1:12 for the first time in 10 years a month ago and with a spool. I did the circles and it seemed to work for me making sure it was steering equally left and right. I can see what you mean in that it may not be exact, but gets ya close enough. I guess the spool makes weight distribution even more critical so it will steer evenly.

So what method is being used to make sure the car steers equally when using a spool?
