When you buy a charger --- you get what you pay for it! I hate to bust your bubble but I always charge between 16-20 and discharge at 30. If you take care of your equipment and batteries you will have no problem with your equipment. I also do storage when finished with my batteries after racing. And then when I get home they go in the fridge till next race day. Also get a Lipo bag or Lipo locker to charge and discharge your batteries. This is the cheapest safety product you get. Had batteries blow up in house and while discharging at a race. Also had a friend loose his house resently. Never just walk away while charging or discharging your lipos!!!!!!!!!!!!Actually the lipo locker on Hobby king (50.00) is the best period. Most of the lipo sacks are not that good. My battery that caught fire was in a lipo sack and was the one that blew up in my house ( I was lucky - just lost a expensive charging system and many new 1/10th foam tires). I also seen a very good driver charge his battery in the car at a major race only to have it blow up at destroy his TQ car completely before his race. I would also get some sand for Lowes or Home Depot to put out the fire- water does NOT do the trick.
But then it's your choice what you want to do and spend.
