I don't see why it should matter if Xray is releasing a new kit every year. Not like the prior year model goes immediately obsolete. Xray only does very minor annual updates and do big changes every once in a while (like the '21).
The CK25 is inexpensive and still works well at the club level box stock. With that said, rumors is that CRC is working on something new.
I would hope for a lightweight pod plate design, without the slider. Something a bit like the old TOP Rebel had, but a bit stronger.
