Issues I've had with CRC front ends: Pivot ball not threading straight, binding/loose lower pivot ball, some of the molds way out of spec and balancing caster left/right is full forward on one side and full rear on the other. Main screw direct thread to plastic... Its fine really. Tap the threads and it should be good to go. Genesis RC kit with a nut also.

VSS: Tight tolerances, hard/std option for tuning or durability, width adjustable, less thread in parts that walk out and tweak, easy camber gain adjustment.

Both are good front ends. There's just more you can do with the VSS if you know what you're doing. And if you don't there's less to get wrong.
