I made some research on motors and regarding KV ratings the lower the better as far as efficiency, heat, runtime. I was wondering how low we can go and obviously upping the pinion by two teeth each time, before we go overboard with it.
I wouldn't put much thought into it. Stick with 1800 - 2000kv motors. You're splitting hairs at that point and electronics selection really isn't going to be a huge factor in a race.
