As the title suggest, I would like your input before i started running a pan car.

A little bit of background of myself: I used to race touring cars but now only run minizs and other 1/28 micro cars at home. Recently someone on the rcfans forum announce a new track will be opened within my city. Its going to be a small carpet track, but no more details yet.

My questions
how difficult it is to setup a pancar for practice? Back in TQRC, pan car drivers seem to spend a lot of time on the bench...Is this really a detail makes huge difference class?

Tires. I have to admit, the reason i started with to touring cars insted of pan car is the tires. How much life can i.expect from a set of foam before it needs truing or replacing? Just practice , not racing or qualifying since i have no idea how many people will show up on that track.

Kits, actually the only candidate is the team saxo,'s gt300w. Other kits are either too expensive (Xray and Awesomatix) for me or just not available (CRC and Roche) in the region. I want to know if anyone has experience with saxo's products in terms of durability and out of the box setup.
