Is it ok to cut the antenna per the instruction down to like 3.6 inches or so? Has anyone done this? I just received my unit for my ko radio today! Also, I'd assume that since this is from teh new patch that it comes with the latest software?

I have just got my Spektrum unit and ran it with no problems on an indoor asphalt track. I cut the antanna wire to just over 4 in. from case but it doesn't extend out of tube that is about 2 in. long. Wished I didn't cut it that short. Anyways still no glitch or problems except when my battery dumped(almost all the way drained to a crawl) it seemed to stutter in and out of failsafe. I assume the one I got is the updated version(second batch).
Very happy with it so far.
