The battery is hard to remove by design if it was easy to remove now that could be a real problem and I see no need to remove it.
Agreed. But being the owner of my radio, I'm gonna check all the bits and bobs out. It's how I learn the component. And how I learned to not remove the battery (no plans to run without it, just inspections).
