Track here is suffering through cool, mist, fog, rain and generally un-raceable weather. Temperatures continue mild, so no freeze-thaw cycles on the grass. Looking like weather here might lift and the track dry enough to get in a test and full practice for record before months' end and February qualifying begins.
Grass is dormant so have to be careful about how many laps the trucks put down. Grass does not recover during winter like it does the three other seasons. On balance though, having a winter racing season here in Houston is better by measure than a summer season.
