According to the specs it only supports up to 6v, so to safely use a LiPo you'd either need to upgrade your receiver (though I'm not sure if there are any compatible with the stock radio that support 2s) or buy a BEC. In both cases make sure you have some kind of low voltage warning to protect the battery from being discharged too far.
