terrible , lol i just went through the same thing took about 10yrs off of rc and just getting back into it , petit rc setup database has lots of setups from around the globe and from what i've seen and been told with alot of these newer 12th scales the kit setups are good enough to get you out there doin some laps. theres quite a few cars out there so i would just pick the one that floats your boat ( i went w/ the new awesomatix a12) which is really different from alot of whats out there i figured if im starting from scratch learning a car might as well try something different , but alot of the other cars are center spring , side spring and tube damper cars like which is the more tried and true platform. you prob already know there car specific threads on here to with lots of knowledgeable people willing to answer your questions and help out. the worst part is spending all the $$ rebuying everything you need if you sold it alll like i did , setup equip , tools ,tire truer etc but i guess thats all part of the fun. good luck and enjoy
