I just checked my race log and after 39 race days (plus lots of practice) I finally had my first issue with the A80 in my SCT410.3
My son just got back into racing after taking a 7 year break, so he's a little green and hasn't been the cleanest driver so the past 7 of those race days were driven by him exclusively. Anyway, last race day I noticed that the servo was locked up after I turned off the truck. The servo worked perfectly fine, but just wouldn't let you turn the servo arm with no power. Then last night I noticed there was a ton of play where the wheels would wiggle until the servo was locked up.
So I just pulled the servo apart and found that the main center pin had snapped just above the bottom gear, nothing was stripped, I just needed to replace the broken pin (1.6 x 13.5mm), fortunately they include these pins in the replacement gear sets! I have opted to keep using the original gears for now, after re-assembly I confirmed there was no slop anymore and the servo arm can move freely with the power off.
