Oh my, 30 minutes? That's insane! It would take me 2+hrs to charge on my iMaxx b6 (I think that's what's called). and that was charging 2s packs.

So it seems like this is a good option for me. 150$ for charger and PS was more than what I was expecting but should be fine as i'm saving money in all other parts of my build. I guess I can look at the charger/PS combo as the same cost of a starter box, battery and charger for Nitro.
