Kyosho has been struggling since 2013 and had a slump in 2017 then bought by a Japanese Investment bank in 2018. They have been restructuring since.
Now they are struggling because shipping docks, labor and unions problems on both ends, International shipping and pandemonium.
I am not 100% sure what is going on with them, the main reason I did not buy a kyosho was parts availability and spotty support, lots of backorders
