Each esc will be setup slightly different than others, and that can improve a driver's speed if it's set the way they race. If i had to guess what makes it different/ better. It would be that pro has focused on lowering the heat/ ir of the esc, so it packs more of a continued punch. Spec wise, it doesn't seem much different than a xr10.
