I always ran Tekin in my 1/8 stuff and had good luck. Now it seems like a lot of the other stuff is close in price to Tekin and stuff like hobbywing seems to be more popular. Does it matter as much in mod? Are some of these newer brand good? Maclan? Performa? R1 wursts? I know everyone has personal preferences but just wondering if there’s a clear best nowadays
Tekin has one of the best brakes. I've run my losi 5.0elite set up for carpet (mod) with Tekin rs pro black and Maclan Mmax pro. Power delivery is great on both, I would have to give the brakes to Tekin though. Watching some vids on youtube will show you graphs on comparable escs. Having the stronger brakes allowed me to brake just a hair later with the Tekin.
