he 23rd running of the race for the cure was a success, although the turnout was lighter than we have ever had, we still managed to raise $1000.00 for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. GLARCRC wishes to thank the racers that came out for the cause.
It was a fun weekend with mild weather and temps in the upper 60's. The layout was changed back to something very similar to the KO Propo track and with a couple of minor modifications, was fast and flowing but challenging and the tyre wear was very good. Qualifying on Saturday according to the drivers was good as the traction continued to build and it was evident by Sunday's final round of qualifying and mains, lap times reflected that as the cars were definitely faster on Sunday.
The story of the weekend had to be 8 year old Brandon Thomas taking the win in the 1/8 Sportsman class, from the way he drove, this young man has a promising future in 1/8 onroad. You can see results and pictures here
