proper quality velcro with a thick zip tie is best for this,
in the past, i've bought a new esc plate and mounted (with the tape my gopros come with)my spare one to that and used bullets on the motor.
i've always kept spare ESC's but ive used HW in 1/8 so no issues, using tekin might yield differing results.
