I got some laps in last night. A guy on FB was asking the difference between the C9 and the 787 bodies which I have both of so I decided to change up my Pro Stock car from the Sauber to the Mazda which I have not run in a long time. I left the set up exactly the same including tires and found the Mazda has a bit more steering and significantly more forward traction. After a couple hundred laps I was feeling pretty comfortable and did a stint, the fast lap was almost 2/10th faster than the Sauber but the car is not as consistent but with some more practice the 787 may be the fast body for me om my LM Pro Stock car.

After breaking the forward body clip on the Mosler I swapped my GLR over to my 458 body. I had forgotten how good the 458 feels but it is not as rail friendly as the Mosler. I had also just replaced the front tires and the 458 sits VERY low on the GLR and I had some rub on the front tire with new PN KS's even with 1.5mm offset wheels. I had bought some Atomic S6 wheels a couple weeks back and thought I would give my 19.5mm 1.5mm offsets a try and see if that small change would help and bingo no more rubbing. With the new body and front tires I need some more time to get the car sorted. I can get the car to be pretty consistent but it is just not that fast right now....every now and then I can get to the mid 3.7's but the old set up with doing mid 3.6's with some regularity. I need more time to play with set-up.

Who else is planing on running this month, it sounded like we had a number of new peeps joining up but no sign of them yet. The track is fun and fast so if you have a track set it up and do some laps.

Cheers,
Jim
